Optometrist (Part-Time)

This part-time opportunity is with a respected mission-driven community health organization that has historically limited recruitment effortsbut is excited to collaborate with you through Titan Placement Group.

Salary and Benefits

Pay Range: $58.17 to $69.23 per hour (based on experience skill set and qualifications)
Schedule: Thursdays and Fridays only 8:00am 5:00pm
Quality Incentive Bonus Up to $2100 quarterly based on performance metrics and scheduled hours

Responsibilities

Conduct eye exams to determine visual acuity perception focus coordination and diagnose abnormalities
Prescribe corrective lenses vision aids and medications (where permitted by law)
Counsel patients on visual hygiene contact lens care and eye safety
Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other providers as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure quality of care
Engage with patients in a compassionate and culturally competent manner
Function as part of a team within a community health center setting

Requirements

Doctorate in Optometry (OD)
Active Massachusetts therapeutic level optometry license
Current Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration
Board Certification in Optometry
Minimum of five years professional experience preferred
Public health experience preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Passion for serving low-income underserved communities
