Garment Dyer

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Color. Its what we do. We have our very own private dye plant dyeing more than 100 different stock colors and 3.5 million garments a year. Our dyes are earth friendly and certified organic based.

Were looking for our next great Mix Master aka Garment Dyer to help us continue our mission to WOW Our Customers by providing on-trend garments. Under the direction of the Doghouse Supervisor this position is responsible for performing and monitoring the dye processes necessary to dye garments.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4p-2a

PAY: $18-$20/hr

A Typical Day (job functions) Lift & Repeat Follow the Recipe Create Color

• Transport garments from warehouse to washer and load washer for dye process lifting boxes up to 50 lbs
• Transport and replace dye and chemical drums from warehouse weighing up to 450 lbs
• Follow a procedure to create dye solutions required for each other and follow a detailed procedure to dye the goods. Follow through by checking the dye lot results and any abnormalities that might have occurred
• Communicate with the Dye Plant Supervisor Inspection/Folding Supervisor regarding any problems during the dyeing process
• Empty garments into bin from washer and transport to dryer and load dryer
• Assist other Dyers when necessary
• Assist in warehouse staging sweeping and stocking pallet rackets
• Occasionally may be required to move pallets between Dye Plant and Lakeshirts
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Organize work flow
• Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
• Works actively with others to get the job done
• Forklift skills preferred but not necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Skills (qualifications) Calculating Following Directions Self-Motivation

• High school education desirable but not required
• Basic math skills detail oriented able to work well with others
• Ability to work well in a team
• Must be reliable responsible and take direction well
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for several hours
• Ability to be stand for 8-10 hours a day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
