Description

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Sierra Vista AZ to assist Provider(s) in daily operations of his/her clinic and patient care.

Responsibilities:

Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
Interviews patients measures vital signs such as pulse rate temperature blood pressure weight and height and records information in patients charts.
Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment
Cleans and sterilizes instruments
Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) treadmill and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests
Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests
Screens telephone calls for physicians
Preps patients for Treadmill Stress Tests
Performs Treadmill Stress Tests as required
Returns patient phone calls
Calls in patient prescriptions
Answers triage calls
Travel required
Other related duties may be assigned

Requirements:

Completion of a Medical Assistant program
Cardiac Experience is preferred but not required
Knowledge in medical terminology
