Job Description:

We are looking for an Electrical Simulation engineer (f/m) to join our Electrical Systems Department based in Getafe Spain.

Context:

Airbus has defined ambitious objectives in terms of decarbonation (via propulsion electrification) as well digitalisation & simulation to prepare the next generation of aircraft.

We are looking for candidates who will actively contribute to both of these challenges.

You will join a transverse team leading the simualtion activities across the electrical department.

Your responsibilities:

You will join a transverse team leading the simulation activites across the electrical.You will be involved in our main electrification projects.

In your first mission you will be in charge of developing the model of the Electrical Drive System. This system is composed of an electrical motor controlled by a power converter. Together they convert electrical power to mechanical power to the engine.

In your role you will:

collect the various simulation needs and write the model specification
liaise with designers teams (including external suppliers) to gather the necessary technical data
determine the relevant modelling methodology
develop the model under Matlab
validate the model with available testing data
deliver the model to run integrated simulations

Your mission will expand to other electrical systems components modelling as required by the different projects you will be involved in.

In your daily challenge you will be supported by the network of experts and specialists.

Your background:

You are a graduate engineer or equivalent with experience on electrical simulation (SABER MATLAB)
You are familiar with simulation processes and tools
You can easily deal with great variety of subjects
You have the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and collaborate with transnational teams
You are curious to learn and love technical challenges
You speak English (negotiation level)
