Role: L3 Wifi Engineer

Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities:

• Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor managed Wi-Fi networks to ensure optimal performance and quick resolution of any issues. Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot network problems and perform root cause analysis on connectivity or performance issues.
• Client Support: Provide direct support to clients for all Wi-Fi related issues including configuration authentication network access and consistent performance. Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• System Maintenance: Perform regular updates and maintenance on network hardware (like routers switches and access points) and software to ensure security and efficiency. This includes applying patches and upgrading systems as necessary.
• Installation and Configuration: Assist with the installation and configuration of Wi-Fi hardware and management software. Set up user accounts permissions and access controls according to security policies.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze network traffic usage patterns and client feedback to optimize the performance and scalability of Wi-Fi networks. Make recommendations for enhancements and upgrades to improve overall service quality.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding network configurations processes and service records. This documentation should be regularly updated and available for audits and compliance checks.
• Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to users on how to utilize network resources effectively. Create user manuals and FAQ resources for client reference.
• Security Compliance: Ensure all managed Wi-Fi networks comply with relevant laws and regulations regarding data security and privacy. Implement and manage network security tools and protocols such as firewalls VPNs and encryption technologies.

Qualifications for L3 engineer

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
• Knowledge of network diagnostic monitoring and management tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Advance knowledge in network management and support specifically with Wi-Fi technologies.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP DHCP) and an advanced understanding of Wi-Fi standards (IEEE 802.11).

Certifications

• Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) / Cisco Certified Network Associate Wireless (CCNA Wireless) Or Equivalent
