Associate Instrument Technician

What you will do

In this vital role you will provide technical expertise and guidance supporting the start-up of the plant and daily operations.

Initial Focus (years 1 and 2):

  • Partner with the Capital Project Delivery and Site Operations team providing technical support associated with the start-up commissioning and qualification of the wide variety of equipment and systems used in Manufacturing Laboratories Utilities and other areas at the site.

  • Support development writing and implementation of the Maintenance program documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Work Orders (WO) Job Plans (JP) Hazard Risk Assessments (HRA) Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) etc.

  • Ensure safety of all staff during plant construction and start-up operations and maintenance activities.

Post-Construction completion and continued operations:

  • Perform scheduled calibration and corrective maintenance and repair activities on equipment and systems used across the ARC site

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems.

  • Ensure activities are accomplished in a safe manner and with quality.

  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and cGMPs

  • Work in a highly productive and efficient manner to maximize the quantity of activities completed.

  • Ensure work is appropriately communicated to system operators and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure work order documentation is completed accurately and on time.

  • Identify waste workflow interrupters and other opportunities for improvement recommend solutions and assist with implementation.

  • Identify opportunities to learn new skills and actively participate in development that will improve overall team performance.

  • Provide support when required - this may be outside of normal working hours including nights weekends and holidays.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Certification that is directly related to the role and 2 years of Instrumentation/ calibration experience OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 2 years of Instrumentation/ calibration experience OR

  • Associates degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of combined education training and experience with instrumentation and associated calibration procedures.

  • Ability to work with minimum direction.

  • Knowledge of Maximo CMMS System.

  • Advanced understanding of process control loops loop checks and loop tuning of process control systems.

  • Experience with Rosemount Mettler Toledo Endress and Hauser and Delta V process control system.

  • Formal biomanufacturing education or training (Associates Degree Armed Services or other substantial technical training program. Demonstrated ability to successfully work in teams and utilize science-based collaboration to drive continuous improvements.

  • Experience utilizing World Class Maintenance initiatives to deliver positive outcomes.

  • Experience working effectively with others who have different perspectives backgrounds and/or styles.

  • Proven leadership skills in the areas of safety quality and compliance.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and qualifications.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $58443- $71431. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and qualifications.
