Job Summary

Parts Associate

Position Summary:
The Parts Person is responsible for assisting customers and technicians in identifying sourcing and purchasing the correct automotive parts and accessories. This role ensures the smooth operation of the dealerships service and repair departments by maintaining accurate inventory levels providing excellent customer service and supporting sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist retail customers service technicians and internal staff in selecting and locating required parts.
  • Process parts orders promptly and accurately through the dealerships system.
  • Maintain proper stocking levels by ordering parts and supplies as needed.
  • Receive inspect and organize incoming shipments of parts and materials.
  • Track inventory and conduct regular stock checks to minimize shortages and overages.
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe parts department.
  • Provide accurate estimates and pricing for parts and accessories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers vendors and internal departments.
  • Uphold dealership policies manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or automotive training preferred.
  • Previous experience in an automotive dealership or parts environment is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems components and terminology.
  • Proficiency in dealership management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
