Sr. Financial Analyst, Software & Services

Job Description

The Product and software portfolio finance organization is responsible for driving future revenue growth and strategic initiatives for GM. S&S partners closely with cross-functional groups to deliver insights that enhance business performance operational efficiency and customer value.

As part of this organization the Financial Analyst will collaborate with Product Engineering and Strategy teams to ensure financial alignment with business objectives. The role requires a strong analytical foundation business acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving and value creation.

We are looking for Highly motivated results driven individuals that possess strong analytic and technical skills to execute strategic initiatives that drive higher corporate profitability while partnering with global cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute all the primary functions of Corporate Finance modeling analyzing advising presenting and deciding
• Develop and utilize financial modeling techniques to evaluate software products business cases
• Partner & collaborate cross-functionally and cross-finance to drive alignment & achievement of Digital Revenue & EBIT commitments (the Vault)
• Present insights and well thought out recommendations including key issues for action / decision to leadersin Software & Services

Execute special projects and analyses as required

• Key partners: Software Product Management OnStar Product Development Sales & Marketing

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills/ Fundamental knowledge of corporate finance
• 5 years of finance experience as an analyst
• A bachelors degree in business finance or economics
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles
• High business acumen and strategic thinking
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
• Ability to organize and plan effectively in ambiguous and continually changing environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance/supervision
• Demonstrated ability to work in an agile action oriented decision-making environment
• Must be able to anticipate risks associated with projects/tasks and have a plan to handle if encountered in highly visible environments
• Ability to react to and address urgent requests in a timely high-quality manner
• Evidence of strong character and integrity
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word)

Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Cole Engineering Tech Center - Global HQ Warren MI three times per week at minimum or other frequency dictated by the business
