Job Summary
Choleta is hiring a Professional Community Injury Project Director to provide Injury Prevention Cooperative Agreements for a federal agency. The Project Director shall provide professional oversight and technical expertise in the best practices in community-based injury prevention program planning development implementation evaluation training and resource development

Travel:Up to 10% contingent on business needs
Duties/Responsibilities
Provides oversight and support on injury prevention activities in coordination with agency partners
Plans develops implements and evaluates community-based injury prevention programs focused on community and environmental health risks
Conducts hazard assessments exposure monitoring and risk analysis to support injury prevention initiatives
Ensures program compliance with agency requirements timelines and reporting standards
Prepares technical reports data analysis presentations and recommendations for injury prevention strategies
Provides technical assistance and training to agency staff and community members on injury preventions

Required Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of federal policies regulations and scientific developments related to injury prevention
Knowledge of unintentional injury prevention strategies public health program implementation and community-based interventions
Excellent project management organizational and leadership skills
Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders
Strong written and oral communication skills including experience preparing technical reports and presenting findings
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience
: Master of Public Health degree or higher or Master of Science degree in a closely related field
: Ten (10) years of experience in community injury prevention and or field-based public health practice
: Experience in applying public health principles applicable to the science and evidenced-based practice of community-based injury control and prevention theories program evaluation and interventions
: Experience working with American Indian or Alaska Native communities

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones etc.
Ability totravel as neededfor on-site visits
