We are hiring a Registered Nurse (General Surgery) who is committed to patient care clinical quality and meaningful service.

Position: Registered Nurse General Surgery
Location: 673d Medical Group Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Anchorage AK
Type: Full-Time
Rate: $68/hr
Period of Performance: 11/01/2025 11/30/2027

Responsibilities

Deliver pre-op and post-op counseling education and care coordination
Support endoscopy recovery when PACU is short-staffed (after ACLS/PALS)
Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes
Conduct physical assessments administer medications and provide wound care
Direct and oversee nursing staff within scope of practice
Respond quickly to emergencies and identify adverse symptoms early
Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care
Participate in research and quality improvement efforts
Maintain credentials for conscious sedation as required

Qualifications

BSN from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited program
Minimum 1 year of recent experience (within 5 years) in a Surgery Clinic Step-Down Unit ICU or PACU
Active unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory
Current BLS ACLS and PALS (or ability to obtain within 2 months)
Must pass a government background check

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) diploma or transcript from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited institution
- College transcript or degree (PSV)
Completed and signed skills checklist (provided upon request).
Professional references from recent employment (Director Supervisor or Manager). Include name title facility and contact information.
