Investment Analyst

Job Responsibilities

• Underwrite and evaluate potential multifamily investment opportunities
• Review and update existing financial models relating to investment opportunities
• Perform financial statement analysis financial modeling and property valuations
• Track and maintain current investment portfolio statistics
• Research and evaluate economic demographic and real estate market data
• Conduct market surveys comparing rents occupancies and concession amounts among comparable properties in specific submarkets
• Support the ongoing efforts of Hilltops Fund and Acquisitions teams
• Assist in drafting and preparing Investment Committee memos
• Provide market-specific and asset-specific updates for investors
• Actively manage existing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Platform
• Assist in the organization and preparation of fundraising materials
• Prepare and maintain quarterly asset performance reports for existing Hilltop assets
• Support ad hoc reporting efforts both internally and externally

• Bachelors degree in Finance or Economics or related discipline from an accredited institution preferred
• Interest in commercial real estate
• Strong financial modeling skills with great attention to detail
• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and Office products; database experience and/or additional programming skills a plus
• Self-starter dependable with excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with other team members hunger to learn positive can-do attitude
• Creative problem-solving skills with ability to understand complex concepts
• Excellent organizational time management and strategic planning skills
• Strong communication skills both written and oral
• Willingness and ability to work with quick timelines

This position reports directly to the Senior Managing Director and will office out of our Corporate Office located at 9651 Katy Freeway Houston TX.
