This is a great opportunity for someone who can work independently and as part of a team. Primary responsibilities of the successful candidate include:
> Managing the requirements of the FCAs Senior Managers & Certification Regime guiding candidates through all steps of the Certification from initial registration (including regulatory licensing exams) to annual recertification
> Delivering compliance training to new joiners and supporting ad-hoc and annual refresher training for front office business teams
> Coordinating regulatory attestations for UK employees upon joining the firm and on a quarterly/ad-hoc basis
> Assisting in the development of supervisory reports and presentations
> Maintaining and enhancing compliance procedures in response to evolving business practices and regulatory expectations
> Monitoring UK and European mandates for compliance with Market Abuse Regulation requirements including conducting periodic reviews of transaction folders
> Executing scheduled compliance tasks in a timely manner
> Effectively communicating compliance issues and associated root causes to management across all lines of businesses within the Firm
> Understanding and remaining current with applicable regulations trends and best practices and contribute to the development of effective monitoring and control processes
We seek to hire individuals who are highly motivated intelligent and are proven self-starters. The successful candidates should have excellent communication skills a demonstrated ability to write effectively and a desire to work in a team environment. The ideal candidate would have 1-3 years of compliance experience with a consulting firm or within the financial services industry (preferably at an investment bank and/or an FCA authorised firm) and meet the following qualifications:
> Quick learner with the ability to rapidly grasp new or unfamiliar subject matter
> Resilient under pressure with an ability to meet tight and fixed deadlines
> Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal stakeholders including management
> Proactive in identifying and escalating issues
> Excellent analytical prioritization and organization skills
> Strong risk and control awareness
> Proficiency in Microsoft Office includingExcel PowerPoint and Word
