Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition subtraction multiplication & division; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. automotive mechanics; valid commercial drivers license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code.

Employees classified as ODOT Mechanic Trainee 52151 shall be reclassified to ODOT Mechanic 52152 within 365 days from hire. Failure to successfully complete probationary period & obtain Class A Commercial Drivers License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction regulated by Section 4506 of the Ohio Revised Code will result in removal.

This position is overtime eligible based on FLSA Standards.
