Job Summary

Required Qualifications
A completed masters degree in communication disorders or closely related area (e.g. Speech and Hearing Science) At least five years of professional experience working in a clinical setting (e.g. school-based or medical setting) Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language-Pathology Eligibility for unrestricted licensure as a speech-language pathologist in Missouri Evidence and/or demonstrated potential for teaching effectiveness OR clinical supervision effectiveness in Communication Disorders Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Evidence of commitment to the liberal arts and sciences

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to teach a variety of courses within the department Evidence of or demonstrated potential for mentoring students in transformative learning experiences such as service-learning study abroad and clinical practicum Evidence and/or demonstrated potential for developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in undergraduate and graduate students
