Job Summary

CLEANER

10 hours per week (6.15 8.15 am Monday to Friday)

All year round permanent

Full time annual salary - 24997. Actual salary - 6755.95

Commencing as soon as possible

We are looking to recruit a hardworking dependable and flexible cleaner to join our small and friendly team. This is a vital role in helping us provide a safe clean and welcoming environment so that our school is a comfortable clean and well-maintained environment for all users. The role will also provide cover to the schools on-site nursery during holiday periods.

Key responsibilities:

Perform general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming mopping sweeping and dusting of classrooms bathrooms and communal areas

Comply with all relevant health & safety and infection control policies and procedures

Ensure all cleaning supplies are used and stored safely and stocks are replenished as required

Maintain equipment in good working condition

Report any maintenance or hygiene issues to the cleaning supervisor/facilities manager.

The ideal candidate:

Will have proven experience as a cleaner or similar role in a school or childcare setting

Understands the importance of maintaining hygiene and safety in environments with children

Has knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling of cleaning equipment

Can work efficiently independently and takes pride in high standards

Is physically capable of performing repetitive tasks lifting and bending.
