As an Fabrications Product Quality Auditor at Caterpillar you will:

Job Responsibility:

Completes inspections of fabrication structures and undercarriage using standard work a checklist and tooling provided (gauges templates etc.)
Performs overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.
Inspects welds on the product to ensure it meets the specifications as outlined by Engineering.
Identifies defects takes pictures and records results in the defect management system.
Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting Waste Elimination and Standard Work.

Physical Requirements:

Lift parts up to 35 pounds individually
Occasional bending reaching and squatting while performing tasks
Consistent usage of required PPE for the task being performed
Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
Ability to stand at the workstation while performing tasks

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Computer skills
Ability to use measuring tools and check gauges

Desired Qualification:

Knowledge of Caterpillar systems ATRS (Assembly Tracking and Reliability System) PINPoint Geneo)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel Teams SharePoint Outlook)
Previous quality welding or fabrication experience

Starting pay:

2nd & 3rd Shifts: $21.82/hour

2nd Shift Schedule:

Monday - Friday 2:15 PM - 10:15 PM

3rd Shift Schedule:

Sunday night - Friday morning 10:15 PM - 6:15 AM

*Mandatory overtime required/ Scheduled in advance*
