Days (United States of America)The ultrasound technologist performs cardiac ultrasound procedures this includes Echo and Vascular sand related techniques producing images for the interpretation by and at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. May be required to learn to scan vascular exams i.e. venous duplex scans. Will perform direct patient care in a compassionate and timely manner. Under the direction of Radiology leadership the Ultrasound tech performs duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures in the use of ultrasound for the diagnosis of disease or pathology. This will be located at Enon office and will support Springfield and Urbana locations.
Essential Job Functions:
Licensing/Certification
Credentialed in Ultrasound technology by one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred or must obtain within 2 years)
BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Abdomen Breast Obstetrics/Gynecology (preferred)
Education
Associates America Medical Association (AMA) allied health training program in Ultrasound (preferred)
Work Experience
1 year experience as an Ultrasound Tech (preferred)
Training
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred)
