Job Description & Summary
The Indirect Tax Team at PwC consists of over 100 experienced experts in goods and services tax customs excise and environmental taxes. We undertake projects related to among other things trade in goods implementation of e-invoicing real estate transactions ESG and structuring local government investments. We collaborate with domestic and international clients providing services from 6 offices across Poland (Warsaw Wrocław Kraków Katowice Poznań and Gdańsk).
We are looking for:
Statutory & Financial Reporting Consultant
Supervision of the VAT compliance process for our Clients
Preparation of tax returns/standard audit files and financial reports (including but not limited to statistical reporting Corporate Income Tax (CIT) VAT and NBP)
Maintaining full accounting records in accordance with IAS / IFRS and tax regulations
Assuring compliance of processes with given Clients accounting policies
Formal and accounting control of documents overseeing the invoicing process
Creation and development of accounting policy and internal procedures
Analyzing the effectiveness and compliance of VAT and CIT processes with applicable regulations
Supporting clients in practical queries related to tax reporting (SAF-T VAT VAT returns CIT returns)
Direct work with clients from Poland and abroad ongoing contact and responding to inquiries from clients and tax authorities
Supervising the work and developing the skills of less experienced team members and cooperating with the SSC team.
1-3 years of experience in accounting and VAT & CIT reporting preferably within a consulting audit firm or the tax/accounting department of a large company
Proven experience in designing implementing and optimizing VAT & CIT compliance and/or accounting processes
In-depth knowledge of VAT & CIT reporting (SAF-T VAT VAT returns CIT returns) and practical skills in this area
University degree (e.g. Finance and Accounting Law)
High level of fluency in English and Polish
Well-developed interpersonal skills comfort in working with clients and as part of a broader project team
High organizational skills ability to work under pressure and manage your time
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 especially Excel.
