As a member of the Digital Management Team the Head of Digital Analytics & Data Science is responsible for translating the overall Digital strategy of Rituals into a clear roadmap for data-driven decision-making. This role leads the strategy execution and optimization of behavioral data (web app email and digital engagement) to drive measurable growth at Rituals. It owns the full lifecycle of behavioral data from tracking and quality to building the models for audience activation real-time triggers and advanced digital & customer analytics. All while ensuring compliance and governance in close collaboration with IT who maintain all other enterprise data domains.
The role manages its own budget ensuring investments in analytics platforms composable CDP capabilities and activation solutions deliver maximum business value. It acts as a key connector between Digital IT and commercial teams aligning priorities with marketing CRM and proposition teams to ensure analytics and activation directly support commercial and marketing outcomes.
In addition the role drives stakeholder engagement at all levels building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners and vendors to ensure best-in-class solutions and performance. Reporting to the Executive Director Digital this position plays a strategic role within the Digital Management Team influencing decisions that shape the future of Rituals digital ecosystem.
Your Accountabilities:
- Translate the overall Digital strategy into a clear actionable roadmap for behavioral data and activation ensuring alignment with growth objectives and the Digital portfolio.
- Define data ownership boundaries: this role owns behavioral data and technical CDP capabilities; IT owns customer product transaction and other enterprise domain operating through shared governance.
- Build a prioritization model that intakes and sequences demand from Digital teams and other proposition teams balancing strategic impact and operational feasibility.
- Set the vision for real-time activation (event streaming triggers next-best-action) while maintaining reliability governance (Onetrust) compliance and scalability.
- Drive vendor governance and performance management including scorecards SLA frameworks and contract standardization for analytics and activation platforms.
- Ensure budget accountability optimizing investments in analytics CDP and activation capabilities to deliver maximum business value.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of digital analysts data scientist & engineers technical CDP specialists and tagging/implementation engineers ensuring the right mix of technical and business skills to deliver on analytics and activation goals scalability. and provide coaching and mentorship.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence emphasizing data quality compliance and accountable delivery while driving continuous improvement in processes and tools
- Manage budget allocation for team resources tools and vendor partnerships ensuring investments deliver measurable business value next to representing the team in stakeholder forums and vendor engagements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: act as the primary technical partner for analytics and activation across Digital and proposition teams. Collaborate with IT Legal and Privacy to ensure compliance. Communicate progress risks and outcomes to senior leadership and external partners.
Other responsibilities include:
Behavioral Data Ownership optimizing the composable CDP for audience building Measurement & Advanced Analytics Deliver Partnership with IT Integrate behavioral data Operational Execution Deploy tracking blueprints and QA processes for web/app/email Driving real-time activation Process & Vendor Management Standardize event schemas.

- Hands-on expertise with modern analytics stacks (e.g. GA4) server-side and consent-aware tagging identity resolution and audience activation through CDPs (Hightouch).
- Strong experience in budget ownership and investment planning for analytics and activation platforms ensuring ROI on technology and vendor partnerships.
- Proven ability to translate overall digital strategy into actionable analytics and activation roadmaps aligning with business priorities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills including influencing senior leadership and managing relationships with external vendors and strategic partners.
- Solid understanding of GDPR privacy-by-design principles and consent frameworks in digital activation.
- You reside in the Netherlands and are comfortable commuting to the Amsterdam office (non-hybrid)
