Provide mechanical engineering services as part of a highly integrated engineering team for the completion of studies and detailed engineering:
o Review and interpret client provided data
o Develop mechanical designs
o Perform calculations for pipe pump and other mechanical equipment
o Perform calculations and design using both computer-aided and manual design techniques.
o Prepare mechanical design criteria
o Prepare mechanical specifications and data sheets
o Support trade-off studies and reports
Provide mechanical engineering support for projects in the basic and detailed engineering addition to further clarification of the tasks involved in project studies the following activities will be required:
o Review of procurement specifications
o Review of vendor submittals
o Review of value engineering proposals
Assist in project management and business development efforts including preparation of proposals and review of client requirements.
Provide input to project progress reports.
Assist in project management tasks including document control report preparation and progress monitoring.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
Fluent in English high level of written and verbal communication skills
Spanish language skills also a plus
Demonstrated ability to read and understand:
o Flowsheets
o General arrangement drawings
o Civil / structural drawings
o Mechanical drawings
Knowledge of MS Project and AutoCAD a plus
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ten years experience in process plant mechanical design
Familiar with NI 43-101 Studies
Familiar with AutoCAD
Familiar with the various process design circuits and equipment for the recovery of base and precious metals
Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to travel on a limited basis if required
Skilled in working with standard Microsoft Office products
