IT Launch-System Integration Lead

Job Description

The Role:

A System Integration Lead is the expert responsible for the end-to-end planning execution and oversight of wired and wireless network infrastructure and plant floor technology integration. The role ensures seamless connectivity operational efficiency and compliance with safety and reliability standards in a high-demand manufacturing environment.

What Youll Do (Responsibilities):

• Network Infrastructure Oversight: Lead the installation and configuration of wired and wireless networks including switch port configuration and network topology planning.
• Contractor Management: Supervise external contractors to ensure safe timely and compliant execution of infrastructure projects.
• Hardware Procurement & Deployment: Source configure and deploy plant floor hardware such as PCs tablets and material delivery request systems.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues and end-user device problems that impact production operations.
• Project Management: Oversee all phases of integration projects from planning and procurement to deployment and post-implementation support ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

Expertise

• Recognized as a fully qualified and experienced professional with deep expertise in network systems hardware deployment and integration across manufacturing operations.
• Independently leads complex initiatives identifying technical and operational challenges and translating them into actionable scalable solutions.
• Applies advanced problem-solving techniques to resolve non-standard issues including network disruptions and hardware malfunctions affecting production.
• Provides mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and cross-functional teams fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Complexity

• Develops solutions in environments with limited precedent requiring strategic thinking and a deep understanding of both IT systems and manufacturing operations.
• Builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners often needing to explain complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Drives change and innovation across departments through influence and collaboration even in the face of resistance or legacy practices.

Scope and Impact

• Manages diverse and multifaceted challenges balancing technical operational and logistical considerations to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Leads cross-functional efforts to integrate new technologies that enhance production efficiency and system reliability.
• Demonstrates accountability and leadership by owning outcomes learning from setbacks and continuously improving processes.
• Plays a critical role in maintaining operational continuity and enabling digital transformation on the plant floor.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

• Bachelors degree in a IT/technical field or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of SAN storage system hardware (i.e. Isilon Pure etc.)
• Familiarity with VMware environment
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux (Red Hat/SUSE) server environments
• Manufacturing related curriculum or significant interest in manufacturing
• Travel as required to plants (50-75%)
