Job Summary
Job Title:Manual QA Tester Foreign Exchange
Location:Pune Hinjewadi Phase 3 Chennai
Job Summary:
Our company is seeking an experienced Manual QA Tester (7 -10years of exp) with a strong background in foreign exchange (FX) to ensure the integrity and reliability of our software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of FX products be familiar with trading channels and be skilled in detecting issues and improving the quality of our applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and understand FX application requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand FX features and technical implementation.
- Develop document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data data validation and automated scripts.
- Execute and evaluate manual/Automated test cases and report test results. Mock up API messages and run QA tests injecting these messages as applicable.
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Isolate replicate and report defects and verify defect fixes.
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
- Understand various trading scenarios and how they affect FX systems.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies relevant to FX markets.
Key skills:
- Knowledgeable on Calypso familiar with FX Option and Average rate forward products on Calypso including the creation of confirmation and swift messages (Mandatory)
OR
Knowledgeable about FX products FX trade execution and FX credit as well. (Mandatory)
OR
Knowledgeable about FX pricing decimal precision and mocking up API files and injecting information. (Mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of FX products like FX spot FX forward window forward FX swap NDF wire payments
- Knowledge of trade life cycle financial markets and trading platform mechanics.
- Proven experience as a QA tester with a focus on manual testing environments.
- Experience in QA methodology and in a trading system/financial services environment.
- Experience to execute automated test cases.
- Experience in Mocking up API messages and injecting these types of messages.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with regression testing black box testing non-functional testing etc.
- Experience with test management software (e.g. PractiTest) JIRA and SQL.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Computer Science or a related field.
Experience:
- 7 to 10 years of experience in manual testing with a specific focus on FX.
Additional Requirements:
- This role may require keeping abreast of FX market trends and understanding regulatory compliance.
- Regular shift 12 to 9PM IST . 3 days mandatory work from office. Flexibility in work hours may be required to cover US time zones.
