Located in downtown Fresno Community Regional Medical Center is the regions flagship hospital and home to the only Level I Trauma Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. As a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) on our cardiac surgery teamyoullbe part of a 40-member team including three RNFAs supporting procedures across Community Regional Clovis Community and Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital.
- Provide intraoperative support under the direct supervision of the surgeonassistingwith surgical exposure hemostasis and other technical functions to ensureoptimaloutcomes.
- Collaborate with cardiovascular surgeons and multidisciplinary teams on more than 100 cardiac surgery cases each month helping uphold excellence sterile technique and evidence-based best practices.
- Function as a Scrub or Circulating Nurse when not serving as RNFAmaintainingreadiness toassistwith cases across all three campuses.
- Contribute to operational efficiency byanticipatingsurgeon and patient needs while fostering a culture of safety precision and teamwork.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing Public Health PhysiologyHealthcareor related field
- Successful completion of an RNFA program that meets the Association of Perioperative RN (AORN) standards
- Credentialed by the CHS Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform RN First Assistant standardized procedures
- 1 year of relevant experience
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificationwithin180 daysof hire or transfer intoposition
- CNOR - Certified Operating Room Nurse from the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI)
