This role supports a Navy customer in Dahlgren VA.

Job Description and Responsibilities:Cybersecurity Engineers prepare implement and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policy to include Assessment and Authorization requirements. They may also perform the following duties:

Plan implement upgrade and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network

Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies

Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure

Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports

Basic Requirements:

10 years of professional experience with cybersecurity engineering with six (6) years of professional experience in relation to IT security with the DoD or Navy.

Experience with vulnerability analysis risk analysis SCAP scans DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation scanning for viruses and other software that is detrimental.

Qualified experience in accreditation of systems and audits.

Clearance:Secret (US citizenship required)

Education Requirements:Masters degree in Cybersecurity Computer Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent is preferred.

Certifications:

CWF designation at the IAM III level or 541 Work Role Code with the proficiency level of Advanced. Acceptable certifications:

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM); Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA); Certified Information Systems Security Officer (C)ISSO); Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); Certified Penetration Testing Engineer (C)PTE); CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA);CompTIA SecurityX (formerly CASP); CyberSec First Responder (CFR); Federal IT Security Professional-Auditor-NG (FITSP-A); GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN); GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA); GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC); GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA); Rocheston Certified Cybersecurity Engineer (RCCE) Level 1.
