Job Summary


The Automotive Technician is responsible for inspecting diagnosing repairing and maintaining
various types of vehicles ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires strong technical knowledge of automotive systems attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and safety protocols.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance (e.g. oil changes tire rotations brake inspections).
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Repair and replace worn parts including brakes wheel bearings sensors and more.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on shop equipment such as lifts tire changers air compressors and diagnostic machines.
  • Report major equipment issues to management and coordinate with vendors for servicing or replacement.
  • Conduct vehicle tests safety inspections and ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.
  • Document all services performed and communicate findings with service advisors and customers.
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all health safety and environmental regulations to include all company and OSHA safety protocols.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Personal conduct in alignment with PCS Inc. Core Values (Integrity Professionalism Commitment Service)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred (e.g. ASE certification).
  • 2 years of experience as an automotive technician (or apprenticeship completion).
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and vehicle software.
  • Basic knowledge of shop equipment operation maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on shop tools and machinery.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment (50lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical degree or certification preferred (e.g. ASE certification).
