Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager with QC experience to join our growing CPA firm in Maple Shade NJ. The ideal candidate will be a licensed CPA and is a key leadership role responsible for managing audit and assurance engagements overseeing client relationships and supporting the strategic growth of the practice. This position involves supervising and mentoring staff ensuring compliance with professional standards and providing proactive business insights to clients.Key Responsibilities:- Engagement Leadership: Plan manage and review audit review and compilation engagements for clients across diverse industries including single audits under Uniform Guidance and do so in accordance with budgets and relevant metrics.
- Technical Expertise: Maintain strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP GAAS GAGAS Uniform Guidance IRS Form 990 reporting and industry-specific accounting standards; provide guidance on complex accounting and reporting issues.
- Perform research on complex or unusual accounting issues and assist the team with developing research memos.
- Client Service: Serve as a main point of contact and trusted advisor to clients nonprofit boards finance teams and executive leadership delivering actionable insights and solutions to improve financial reporting business operations governance and compliance.
- Quality Management: Assist the firms Quality Management team to ensure all engagements are completed in compliance with professional and firm standards.
- Team Leadership & Development: Supervise coach train and mentor managers seniors and associates; provide constructive feedback and support career development.
- Business Development: Contribute to firm growth through participation in proposals presentations networking and expanding client relationships.
- Practice Management: Assist partners with strategic initiatives training programs process improvements thought leadership and the development of new service offerings with the goal of leveraging the team to be as efficient and productive as possible.
Qualifications:- CPA license required
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or related field.
- 8 years of progressive experience in public accounting with significant exposure to assurance and advisory services and experience in the nonprofit sector.
- 7 years of experience in management
- Experience managing EBPs Employee Benefits Plans
- Excellent leadership project management and communication skills with experience presenting to nonprofit boards and audit committees.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality results within deadlines.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Preferred Skills:- Experience with a variety of industries including manufacturing nonprofit (including Yellow Book) charter schools construction and professional services.
- Familiarity with tax provisions and financial reporting disclosures.
- Working knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus.
