Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy
Location: Ithaca NY 14850
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: 4x10 Hours / Variable
Pay Rate: $2928 per week (Gross)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. The RN is responsible for patient assessment monitoring during procedures and post-procedure recovery ensuring safety quality care and adherence to established clinical protocols.
Responsibilities:
Prepare procedure rooms and necessary equipment for endoscopic procedures.
Assist physicians during endoscopy maintaining sterile technique.
Monitor patients vital signs and sedation levels throughout procedures.
Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education and support.
Document patient care interventions and outcomes accurately in the EMR.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of RN experience; prior endoscopy or GI lab experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of infection control patient monitoring and procedural safety.
Excellent communication critical thinking and teamwork skills.
Licenses & Certifications:
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York).
Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
