HR Generalist (Human Resources Payroll Employee Relations)
About the Role:
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting daily human resources operations employee relations and payroll administration. This position requires strong attention to detail hands-on experience with HR compliance and proficiency in Excel for financial and reporting tasks. The ideal candidate will be adaptable professional and ready to grow within a fast-paced environment while ensuring accurate onboarding payroll and employee documentation.
Responsibilities:

Administer payroll processing and maintain accuracy using ADP systems.

Manage new hire onboarding including paperwork I-9 verification benefits enrollment and orientation scheduling.

Maintain organized employee records and ensure compliance with federal state and local employment regulations.

Support employee relations by addressing inquiries assisting with conflict resolution and ensuring consistent HR policy application.

Prepare and maintain HR and payroll reports using Microsoft Excel including headcount labor cost and turnover analysis.

Assist with benefits administration leave management and open enrollment coordination.

Partner with management to support performance management processes and corrective actions.

Ensure timely updates of employee data including job changes promotions and terminations.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
2-4 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator role.

Proficiency with ADP payroll systems and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP).

Working knowledge of HR compliance onboarding and personnel file management.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.

Experience preparing HR or payroll-related financial reports.
Desired Qualifications:

PHR or SHRM-CP certification.

Experience in manufacturing distribution or food industry environments.

Familiarity with HR metrics data analysis and reporting dashboards.
