About the role

Our Glen Waverleydepot is looking for a Works Ready Coordinator in the Underground Cables team to ensure effective preparation and planning of work packages. This role with support the delivery of our program of works while ensuring that effective processes are in place to assist with the efficient delivery of the works program.

The team is made up of Works Ready Coordinators Cable Jointers Cable Haulers and Apprentices all collaborating to maintain and expand the United Energy network which stretches from Doncaster to Sorrento.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Plan coordinate and oversee field-based activities ensuring all work meets time cost quality and safety requirements for both planned and emergency situations.
  • Manage materials equipment and subcontractor services through effective use of the purchasing system to deliver on work schedules.
  • Ensure all reporting job documentation and control worksheets are completed accurately and on time.
  • Scope work effectively to confirm all required materials resources and approvals are in place before commencement.
  • Coordinate and optimise fleet and logistics to support efficient work delivery.
  • Maximise the effective use of resources to meet scheduled targets and operational priorities.
  • Engage and manage third-party service providers to support project and maintenance activities.

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring:

  • Hands on experience in high and low voltage environments with solid grasp of industry standard operating policies and procedures for Underground Electrical distribution systems
  • Strong understanding of safe working practices OHS&E principles and Australian standards
  • Cable Jointing experience on legacy power networks highly desirable.
  • Civil experience working in VEDN environments.
  • Practical knowledge of legal financial quality and risk management concepts and their application to field employees
  • Proficient in SAP Microsoft Word Excel and planning package systems (preferred)
  • Certificate III ESI Power Systems (or equivalent) highly desirable
  • Current Victorian Drivers licence
