A typical day:

Working with the Tool Room Sr. Manager this position is responsible for the fabrication repair and maintenance of molds mold components jigs fixtures and specialised machinery. The role requires expertise in diagnosing and resolving mold-related issues ensuring efficient performance and functionality. This position also involves collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to support production needs maintain high-quality standards and drive continuous improvement in tooling processes.

What Contribution Will I Have A Typical Day:

• Assist with the assembly and disassembly of molds perform maintenance and repair of molds
• Operate a variety of manual and CNC machinery such as lathes milling machines grinders and EDM equipment
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Perform measurements using precision instruments (e.g. micrometers verniers pin gauges)
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Support quality control processes and documentation
• Participate in college and a training center as components of the apprenticeship program
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Good verbal and written communication skills required
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and handle complex projects with minimal supervision
• Proficient in problem-solving abilities

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Outstanding manual dexterity fine motor skills and detailed touch required for completing intricate work without compromising valuable molds
• Strong visual acuity to interpret blueprints and conduct detailed inspections
