Job Summary

  • Join the finance team supporting clinical services and education in Nedlands health precinct.
  • Work in a collaborative environment supporting teaching research and clinical services.
  • Full-time appointment on a fixed term basis for one year with possibility to extend.
  • Base salary range: $95231 $100643 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Oral Health Centre of Western Australia (OHCWA) is the states primary institution for oral health education research and specialist care. OHCWA operates as a collaborative centre within the University of WAs School of Dentistry involving others like Curtin university and WA Department of Health. The centre treats approximately 14000 patients per annum and deliver several clinical and technical training programmes.

About the opportunity

  • Develop budgets and financial reports for Clinical Service Delivery Operations and Dental School activities.
  • Ensure compliance and financial controls invoicing account reconciliations and expenditure and provide input and recommendation to policies.
  • Provide financial advice and resolve complex financial queries.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency.
  • Full professional membership of a recognised Australian accounting body preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare the full set of annual financial statements from trial balance.
  • Substantial relevant financial and accounting experience at an appropriate level.
  • Proficiency in use of financial systems.
  • High competency using excel and excel data models.
