Role Definition

  • This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the financial narrative of our company by supporting portfolio heath and analysis that directly influence our 10Q/10K financial statements. Youll be responsible for tracking and reconciling our global corporate portfolio identifying past due trends and communicating results across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge and development of key reports to manage measure and monitor global risk exposures with adherence to reporting requirements policies and controls.
  • Reports trends and researches significant changes with data/portfolio owners to validate and explain global risk concerns. Clearly communicate findings with management to ensure that global risks are managed measured monitored and properly reported.
  • Manage the processes and procedures supporting the accuracy and timely communication of the portfolio health results. Make recommendations to process improvements aimed at accuracy and efficiency within department and/or portfolio owners.

Skill Required:

  • Business Performance Management: Knowledge of technologies techniques and practices for the use of business intelligence; ability to monitor and adjust business processes (internal and cross-organizational) in near real-time.
  • Operational Functions: Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand monitor update control or enhance existing business or work processes.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients vendors and peers.
  • Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.

  • Strong Business Acumen and Sound Judgment Demonstrated ability to identify business challenges interpret data to uncover root causes and develop practical solutions. Skilled in balancing analytical insights with operational realities to make informed decisions assess trade-offs and drive outcomes aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Effective Cross-Functional Communication Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and translate technical findings into actionable business language. Experience working with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds including cross-cultural and international teams is essential for navigating global business environments and fostering inclusive collaboration.
  • Intellectual Curiosity A natural inclination to ask questions explore new ideas and seek out opportunities for learning and improvement. Candidates should be proactive in identifying areas for innovation and growth

Nice to Have:

  • Systems Proficiency Hands-on experience with enterprise systems such as Oracle Salesforce and Business Objects. Comfortable self-serving within these platforms to extract and interpret relevant data.
  • Technical Aptitude and Tool Familiarity Skilled in using analysis and reporting tools including Power Query Excel and Salesforce dashboards. Prior experience with advanced platforms such as Power BI Alteryx and Dataiku is highly valued especially for data visualization workflow automation and pipeline development. While not mandatory familiarity with these tools will distinguish top candidates.
  • Data Visualization Expertise Ability to create compelling informative dashboards and reports using Power BI. Knowledge of best practices in data storytelling and visual design to effectively communicate insights to diverse stakeholders.

Additional information:

  • This position requires the successful candidate to work full time 5 days per week in the Nashville main office.

$116532.00 - $216384.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
