About the Program

The LATAM Women Trainee Program in Operations is a pioneering initiative by Prysmian LATAM designed to empower fresh women graduates in technical fields. This program offers a unique opportunity to launch a career in engineering or manufacturing with a strong focus on diversity inclusion and professional development.

Unique opportunity

• Comprehensive Job Rotation:Trainees will participate in a structured rotation across key business areas including R&D Process Engineering Quality Production Maintenance HSE (Health Safety & Environment) and Supply Chain. Each rotation is designed to provide hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the business.
• Practical Learning:In every rotation trainees will be assigned value-adding tasks (e.g. conducting FMEA in Maintenance TWI in Production risk analysis in HSE) and will present their completed projects at the end of each phase.
• Exposure to Multiple Functions:The program covers a wide range of topics such as manufacturing processes production planning workplace safety continuous improvement innovation & technology sustainability and more.
• Professional Development:Trainees will benefit from digital trainings leadership development and participation in the Prysmian Academy.

Key Responsibilities

• Rotate through various operational departments gaining practical experience in each.
• Complete assigned projects/tasks that contribute to business improvement.
• Present findings and results at the end of each rotation.
• Engage in continuous learning and development activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in feedback sessions.

Candidate Profile

• Female students in their final year of university/technical institute or recent graduates (between 2022 and 2025) in:
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electromechanical Engineering
  • Telecommunications Engineering
  • Automation Instrumentation and Control Engineering
  • Other engineering degrees related to the industrial or productive sector.

• Interest to start journey on an engineering path in our industry and ready to embrace a new challenge.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Mastery of English is desirable.
• Strong motivation to learn grow and contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Program Structure

• First 18 months: Job Rotation through various functions within Prysmian LATAM to gain and enhance knowledge of our business and the key requirements.

• After completion: Promotion into an attractive engineering position based on availability and performance during the training phase with further opportunities to develop and grow within our company.

Este programa ofrece una oportunidad única para iniciar una carrera en ingeniería o fabricación con un fuerte enfoque en la diversidad la inclusión y el desarrollo profesional.

Oportunidad única

• Rotación integral de trabajos: Los aprendices participarán en una rotación estructurada en áreas comerciales clave que incluyen investigación y desarrollo ingeniería de procesos calidad mantenimiento de producción HSE (salud seguridad y medio ambiente) y cadena de suministro. Cada rotación está diseñada para proporcionar experiencia práctica y una comprensión más profunda del negocio.
• Aprendizaje práctico: En cada rotación a los alumnos se les asignarán tareas de valor agregado (por ejemplo realización de FMEA en mantenimiento TWI en producción análisis de riesgos en HSE) y presentarán sus proyectos terminados al final de cada fase.
• Exposición a múltiples funciones: El programa cubre una amplia gama de temas como procesos de fabricación planificación de la producción seguridad en el lugar de trabajo mejora continua innovación y tecnología sostenibilidad y más.
• Desarrollo profesional: Los aprendices se beneficiarán de capacitaciones digitales desarrollo de liderazgo y participación en la Academia Prysmian.

Responsabilidades clave

• Adquirir experiencia práctica en cada uno de los departamentos operativos de nuestra planta.
• Completar proyectos/tareas asignadas que contribuyan a la mejora del negocio.
• Presentar hallazgos acciones sugeridas y resultados al final de cada rotación.
• Participar en actividades de aprendizaje y desarrollo continuo.
• Colabor con equipos multifuncionales y participar en sesiones de retroalimentación para el crecimiento de nuestra organización.

Perfil del candidato

• Estudiantes mujeres en su último año de universidad/instituto técnico o recién graduadas (entre 2022 y 2025) en:
  • Ingeniería Industrial
  • Ingeniería eléctrica
  • Ingeniería mecánica
  • Ingeniería Electromecánica
  • Ingeniería de Telecomunicaciones
  • Ingeniería de automatización instrumentación y control
  • Otras ingenierías relacionadas con el sector industrial o productivo.

• Interés por iniciar un viaje en un camino de ingeniería en nuestra industria y listo para aceptar un nuevo desafío.
• Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y presentación
• Es deseable el dominio del inglés.
• Fuerte motivación para aprender crecer y contribuir a un lugar de trabajo diverso e inclusivo.

Estructura del programa

• Primeros 18 meses: Rotación de puestos a través de varias funciones dentro de Prysmian LATAM para obtener y mejorar el conocimiento de nuestro negocio y los requisitos clave.
