Are you a creative and passionate Music Teacher who loves to inspire students through performance composition and creativity
A well-regarded and academically ambitious secondary school in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join its thriving Performing Arts Department from January 2026. This is a full-time permanent role offering the opportunity to teach motivated students in a school where the arts are celebrated and supported.
The Role
You will teach Music across KS3KS5 delivering lessons that inspire creativity and technical skill. The department promotes a balance between classical and contemporary music encouraging students to explore everything from orchestral performance to digital production.
Beyond the classroom youll lead or support the schools busy extra-curricular music programme which includes choirs bands and theatre productions. The department also runs annual concerts community performances and music tours giving students a platform to perform at a professional level.
