Job Summary
A forward-thinking STEM-focused independent senior school in Harrow is seeking an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Computer Science to commence in January 2026.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the core Computer Science curriculum including programming fundamentals up to and including GCSE level.
- Receive bespoke mentoring from a senior member of the STEM faculty specifically focused on teaching complex technical subjects.
- Utilise the ECT protected time to develop advanced curriculum materials and prepare high-quality practical teaching sessions.
- Support the schools competitive spirit by assisting with coding challenges or robotics clubs.
- Ensure all teaching and assessment practices adhere to the schools rigorous academic standards up to GCSE.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) attained by December 2025 (or currently in your first year of induction - ECT1) and a strong degree in Computer Science or a related field with demonstrable teaching expertise in the subject.
- Evidence of successful practical application of teaching theory from initial teacher training.
