Job Summary
An established independent senior school in Camden Central London celebrated for its academic culture and excellence in core subjects seeks an inspirational Teacher of Science (KS3/4) starting January 2026. This role focuses on delivering the full Science curriculum (Biology Chemistry Physics) up to GCSE level.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 ensuring excellent foundations in all three disciplines (Biology Chemistry Physics) up to GCSE.
- Cultivate pupils scientific enquiry skills through rigorous practical work and analytical problem-solving.
- Support the departments program of academic enrichment and co-curricular science activities.
- Provide targeted academic guidance to individual students to secure strong measurable GCSE outcomes.
- Assume pastoral duties actively supporting the welfare system within a student group.
Requirements
- A strong degree in a Science discipline and proven success teaching the full Science curriculum up to GCSE in a selective environment (QTS/PGCE preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom and laboratory effectively and inspire sustained academic focus.
- Seeking a Science Teacher dedicated to upholding the schools high academic standards.
