Job Summary
An ambitious Outstanding Ofsted-rated Academy in Hampshire is seeking a specialist Teacher of Science ideally with a focus on Biology to join their highly successful faculty in January 2026. The successful candidate will teach across the whole Science curriculum at KS3/4.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Science instruction across Key Stage 3 and GCSE with a specialization in teaching Biology up to A-Level.
- Plan and execute practical inspiring lessons that foster scientific curiosity and rigorous analytical skills.
- Contribute to the schools high-achieving status by implementing effective assessment and intervention strategies that drive pupil progress.
- Manage a classroom and laboratory effectively upholding the highest standards of safety and classroom discipline.
- Actively engage in school life including contributing to the Science club or STEM activities.
Requirements
- A degree in Biology or a related scientific field and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven track record of success in raising attainment particularly at GCSE and A-Level Biology.
- A clear commitment to teaching the full demanding Science curriculum to Key Stage 4.
- Seeking an educator who is professional results-focused and committed to the comprehensive school model.
