As a rapidly growing automotive sales company we are seeking a Manager Accounting Benelux to lead our accounting operations in particular R2R operations for the region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that values innovation integrity and results. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial future ensuring compliance and supporting our mission to deliver exceptional value to our customers and stakeholders. This role will report to the CFO of Benelux located in our office in Brussels Belgium with dotted line reporting to the Group Accounting team in Polestar HQ in Sweden.

What youll do

Oversee all accounting operations including billing accounts receivable/payable general ledger and inventory accounting.
Lead review and approve activities related to the month-end half-year and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy timeliness in coordination with Group Accounting Tax and other internal teams.
Develop and implement accounting policies procedures and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure SOX compliance.
Prepare and present financial statements and reconciliation
Ensure compliance with accounting standards tax regulations and all relevant legal requirements.
Manage relationships with external auditors tax/regulatory authorities and vendors.
Drive process improvements and leverage technology to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Provide leadership and oversight across a shared service accounting function ensuring alignment with company standards service level agreements and seamless integration with internal operations.

Who you are

You have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting Finance or any other related field
You can rely on 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience including experience in team leader role.
You have experience in managing and collaborating across shared service accounting teams ensuring high-quality performance and effective partnership.
Experience in the automotive industry or a related sector strongly preferred.
You have a deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS financial reporting and compliance requirements. Specific experience with local GAAP of both Belgium Netherlands and Luxembourg is considered a plus.
You are proficient in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with dealership management systems a plus.
You are skilled at identifying process gaps and driving optimization initiatives across various functions.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment with a passion for innovation and teamwork.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
