Job Title: Python Data Engineer
Location: New York- Hybrid role
Duties
Integration engineers are responsible for daily support and project-based development of credit risk management systems.
ETL developers are responsible for designing and creating the data warehouse and all related extraction transformation and load of data functions.
This is an opportunity to gain experience in risk management processing using new technologies.
Skills
MS SQL Server Development skills.
Strong T-SQL knowledge and skills required. Min 5 years of experience in writing DDL/DML SQL scripts stored procedures and functions required.
Troubleshoot production issues; perform root cause analysis and implement technical resolutions in a timely manner.
Data modelling experience.
Knowledge of Azure/Databricks/Python is a plus.
Candidates will be primarily responsible for maintaining and resolving ETL/database-related issues.
Works independently and drives assigned tasks to completion
Support existing SSIS SQL Projects
Writing SQL queries against Snowflake.
Work closely with existing senior integration staff to flush out design priority and build.
Scaffolding and framework will be needed for staging and transforming datasets.
Strong troubleshooting skills to identify root cause and resolve production issues
Strong SQL skills
5 years of full-time development experience using Python
Experience building data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks
Experience with Python application frameworks (Django Flask Pyramid Tornado)
Experience with Python testing and code analysis tools (Pytest Pylint)
Familiarity with SSIS
Strong troubleshooting skills
On-point communication skills
Education
Bachelors degree in computer science or finance
