Job Description

Summary
Exciting opportunity to empower bilingual learners in a specialized upper-elementary special education program! This position is focused on delivering Spanish-language instruction in a self-contained classroom while guiding students with IEPs toward academic and social-emotional growth. Success comes through close collaboration with families staff and service providers to create an inclusive supportive learning environment.

What You’ll Do

Deliver Spanish-language instruction aligned with IEP goals and academic standards
Develop implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
Adapt curriculum and use differentiated strategies to support diverse learning needs
Conduct assessments and use data to guide instruction
Create a structured engaging and supportive classroom environment
Collaborate with families general educators and related service providers
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to intervention and support planning

What You’ll Need

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
Bilingual (BSPA) endorsement or ELS (TBE) with TLP Spanish
Fluency in spoken and written Spanish
Experience developing and implementing IEPs
Familiarity with WIDA standards and Common Core
Proficiency with Google Classroom and related instructional technology
Ability to differentiate instruction and analyze student data
