The Bridge is seeking a Site Senior Support Worker to lead daily operations at one of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) sites supporting five participants and working alongside a team of six or more staff. This role combines hands-on support with informal team leadership documentation and coordination responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate day-to-day operations to ensure consistent person-centred support
Provide informal supervision and guidance to support workers during shifts
Assist with rostering and respond to short-notice absences to maintain coverage
Deliver direct support aligned with participant goals and NDIS plans
Maintain accurate documentation incident reports and medication records
Promote a positive inclusive team culture grounded in respect and accountability
Escalate risks and concerns to the SIL Services Lead and contribute to service reviews
About You:
Experience in disability support ideally in SIL or residential settings
Strong understanding of person-centred practice and NDIS requirements
Confident communicator with solid documentation and time management skills
Ability to guide and support staff in a collaborative respectful manner
Certificate IV in Disability Community Services or related field
Current First Aid CPR WWCC NDIS Worker Screening Check and Drivers Licence
Familiarity with participant management systems (e.g. SupportAbility Folio)
