Agile Space Technologies is seeking a passionate and driven individual to add to our Test team onsite in Durango CO and contribute to the development of cutting-edge propulsion systems for space a Test Engineer I/II you will have the opportunity to join our team of seasoned professionals in a dynamic testing environment.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting test operations conducting data analysis and assisting in the development of propulsion systems. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work on projects at the forefront of aerospace technology.

Level I:Candidates should bring 0-3 years of relevant experience demonstrating strong foundational skills and the ability to work independently.

Level II: Candidates with 4-6 years of experience are encouraged to apply as they will be expected to offer advanced expertise and leadership.

Responsibilities


Support daily propulsion test operations including setup checkout and execution of test campaigns.
Assist with system builds modifications and maintenance of test stands and associated ground support equipment.
Perform troubleshooting and data collection under supervision escalating issues appropriately.
Follow safety compliance and propellant-handling protocols for hypergolic systems.
Document work performed and communicate test results effectively to engineers and leadership.
Collaborate with technicians and engineers across multiple test programs to maintain schedule.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering or closely related technical field OR equivalent hands-on aerospace/propulsion test experience.
13 years of relevant experience in propulsion test operations aerospace systems or complex mechanical/electrical systems.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work safely around hazardous materials high-pressure systems and test environments.
Proficiency with basic software tools (Excel Word Outlook data entry).
prefer a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to minimize complexity of ITAR/EAR testing

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in propulsion testing rocket engines or aerospace ground support equipment.
Familiarity with propellant systems (MMH NTO or similar hazardous fluids).
Knowledge of instrumentation data acquisition systems or control systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and test hardware.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented high-tempo test environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours and support off-shift/weekend testing as required

Work Environment & Conditions:


The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required while performing certain tasks:

  • Safety glasses
  • Hearing protection (varies based on tasks)
  • Safety shoes
  • SCBA (respirator)

Occasional overtime to meet business needs

Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience skills and internal equity and is typically made within the midrange rather than the upper end.
