Job Summary:
Schaumburg and North Ave Immediate Care are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in Schaumburg and Addison Illinois on a full-time basis. This position will report to the Director of Medical Services and will be primarily responsible for assisting in the delivery of quality healthcare services to our clients. As a Medical Assistant at Schaumburg Immediate Care you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients by providing support and care.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of healthcare services to patients in a primary care and immediate care setting
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure pulse and temperature
- Administer medication as directed by the physician
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
- Perform basic lab tests such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Monitor patients for changes in health status and report any concerns to the physician or Director of Medical Services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper medication administration and other healthcare instructions
- Adhere to all policies procedures and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification from an accredited institution is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
