About the Role
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Aircraft Paint Preppers to join our team in Kingman AZ. As a Paint Prepper you will play a key role in the aircraft painting process ensuring surfaces are properly cleaned sanded masked and primed prior to final paint application. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior experience in paint preparation to continue building their career in aviation finishing.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting by cleaning sanding stripping and masking.
Remove old paint corrosion grease and contaminants using approved methods (solvents sanding blasting etc.).
Apply body fillers and sealants as required and sand them to smooth finishes.
Mask and protect windows antennas trim and other non-painted areas.
Assist painters with priming and topcoat application when needed.
Inspect completed prep work to ensure compliance with specifications.
Maintain tools equipment and work areas in a clean safe condition.
Follow company FAA and OSHA safety requirements at all times.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in paint preparation (aviation automotive or industrial).
Knowledge of sanding masking and corrosion removal techniques.
Ability to work with hand tools sanders grinders and other prep equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing bending lifting up to 50 lbs).
Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
