EXP is currently searching for an Inspector for our Savannah GA area projects.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Responsible for performing assignments in assisting Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties.
• Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress.
• Inspection and testing of soils concrete steel and masonry materials for road and bridge projects. Experience with GDOT construction and specifications desired.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Observing general job safety practices.
• Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control in accordance with contract documents.
• The ability to work as a team a plus.
• Possibility of weekend and evening work as dictated by contract.

What your experience looks like

• Graduation from a university with a degree in civil engineering or from a four year college with a degree in civil engineering technology; graduation from a five year technical college with a degree in civil engineering technology and six years of progressive transportation technician experience; or graduation from high school and eight years of progressive transportation technician experience as an employee or consultant for State Highway Agency; or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
• Passing scores on GDOTs Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests Group 1 (General Provisions Auxiliary Items Basic Highway Math Basic Highway Plan Reading).
• Passing scores on GDOTs Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests Group 2 (Pavements Bases Subbases Minor Drainage Structures Construction Erosion Control).
• GDOT WECS.
• GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification.
• GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control).
• NECIT Level III Certification or ASCE Equivalent
