Job Summary

A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes that ensure efficient production and adherence to customer specifications. This position interacts closely with Program Management Design Engineering Quality Engineering Mechanical Engineering and other departments to optimize manufacturing workflows and improve product quality. The work is performed under limited supervision by the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering and evaluated based on results obtained.

Responsibilities

  • Develop implement maintain and improve manufacturing processes for a variety of space grade electronics.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on hardware defects.
  • Disposition nonconformances in accordance with industry standards
  • Complete internal manufacturing readiness reviews on new builds
  • Perform a Design for Manufacturability (DFM) review on new SEAKR designs
  • Operate and maintain production equipment to minimize delays on the manufacturing floor.
  • Support program needs throughout the manufacturing build process
  • Work occasional weekends or long hours to support program schedules.
  • Occasionally travel to customer or vendor locations as needed.
  • Respond to phone calls for assistance during off hours while supporting program build.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on the delivery of manufacturing related tools and equipment.
  • Develop documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs): Create detailed documents to guide operations maintenance and quality control.
  • Monitor and report metrics for continuous improvement: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield rates cycle times and defect rates.

Qualifications :

  • Working knowledge of the following machines: Pick and Place Machine Reflow ovens Selective Solder or Wave Solder Hot Air Rework Machine Robotic Conformal Coating System Lead Forming Press
  • Experience navigating ERP and electronics manufacturing software systems.
  • Familiarity with IPC soldering practices.
  • Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures for production of high reliability PCB assemblies.
  • Must have experience with PCB CAD and DFM reviews
  • A Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience within the aerospace manufacturing industry

Additional Information :

Compensation: Base pay range is $ depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical dental and vision insurance plans along with a generous 401(k) retirement addition to base salary employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave such as vacation sick bereavement and FMLA.
