Granite Academy is a therapeutic day school for middle and high school-aged students who have emotional and psychiatric issues that complicate schooling social interactions and family life. Our staff provide flexible individualized programming and are dedicated to meeting the needs of our students their families and the public school systems.
We have an 11- month school year (202 days) and are located on a beautiful campus in Braintree MA (not within walking distance from T-station). Our team works with students individually and in small groups to support their full engagement in academic vocational social and recreational activities that promote skill development emotional well-being and movement towards graduation. The ideal candidate is a positive and empathetic individual who is exploring careers in the clinical and/or educational setting.
What Youll Do:
- Direct care and supervision of students outside of the classroom who may be struggling.
- Proficient using email to ensure prompt and effective communication and organization.
- Crisis management care.
- Coordinating with teachers and clinicians around student goals and progress.
- Identifying and supporting best ways to support students emotional regulation.
- Maintaining attendance and student records.
- Daily scheduling responsibilities.

- Must be 21 years or older.
- Bachelors degree preferred with experience in working with youth.
- Attention to detail and organized.
- Able to make good decisions in an active environment; a leader.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Good working with a team.
