Compensation: $24.00-$24.00 per hour

Tessera is seeking a consistent and attentive General Maintenance Worker I with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for a variety of tasks which may include applying touch up paint painting structures or buildings replacing windows changing door fixtures repairing or replacing paneling.
• Responsible in assisting skilled workers in performing various electrical carpentry plumbing or masonry work.
• Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of buildings grounds and equipment.
• Communicate and interact directly with the customer inform the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determine customer needs.
• Responds to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
• Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customer.
• Communicate with scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates.
• Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
• Can work both independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications:

• One year of experience in general maintenance/ construction work.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
• Experience in all areas of general contracting/ maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work in a variety of different environments including inclement weather and high places.
• Must be able to communicate with others in a courteous and helpful way.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
• Must have good manual dexterity eye-hand coordination physical fitness and a good sense of balance.

Requirements:

• A valid state drivers license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tesseras insurance.
