Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Charlotte NC.

This position is expected to begin in June 2026.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. 
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
  • This internship offers the chance to collaborate closely with our BP team on dynamic high-impact projects for high-tech mission-critical clients.
  • Interns will engage in a variety of tasks and challenges at different stages of a project including due diligence technical design construction administration and observation as well as project closeout.

 


Qualifications :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelors Degree or higher in an engineering field with the intent to continue after the internship.
  • Candidates must have completed 1 year of study in their program.
  • Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required for this role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge in the following software: CADD HCS Revit Sketchup AutoCAD MicroStation InRoades InSite GIS Adobe Creative Cloud Rhino and etc.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Prior internship experience.

Additional Information :

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Charlotte NC.  The selected candidate must be available to work in Charlotte NC on a scheduled basis.
