Main Ingredients of the Job!
SCHEDULE: DAY Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshoot diagnose rebuild replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS Reefer Microprocessors etc.).
  • Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
  • Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
  • Receive road calls assign third party vendor and work with business partners on plan of action.
  • Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
  • Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

  • N/A
RELATIONSHIPS
  • Internal:All Fleet Technicians Drivers Coordinators and Manager.
  • External:Dealer Service Managers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have 3 yearsof verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician. TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
  • Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
  • Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must furnish own personal hand tools.
  • Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals.
EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING
  • EPA 608 (Type 2 or Universal) & EPA 609 Certifications
LICENSES
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA & DOTregulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
  • Computer and software experience/ Noregon Diag Equip/A/C Recovery Etc.
  • Able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.
  • Welding ability
  • Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
